Godaddy perhaps the world’s largest domain registrar sure know how to get on our nerves, recently i tried logging into my godaddy account to connect my domain to my dreamhost hosting acount and found myself been automatically logged out immediately after logging into my account.
Initially i thought i had an issue with my browser so i closed my chrome browser and reopened only to run into the same problem then started searching online for solutions but that didn’t help till i remembered an old trick of fixing websites that behave abnormally.
Why i buy domain from godaddy and host on dreamhost
I know you might be probably thinking why did i buy domain for godaddy and host it on dreamhost instead of hosting the domain of godaddy, well, i love godaddy for buying domains but for hosting i always stay away due to the negative reviews out there.
I will advise you to look at hosting reviews from trusted platform like trust pilot before buying the service.
The solutions
I found a working solutions after some few minutes of testing, i will list some possible solutions to try also should mine doesn’t work.
Disable all extensions
Some extensions conflict with websites, the first thing you have to do is disable all extensions and try logging in.
If you are able to logging then the problem is from the extension, you know have to find out the particular extension causing the problem.
Enable the extensions one after the other while refreshing the godaddy website to check if the problem exist after till you find the culprit.
On my computer i installed a plugin called allow copy which makes it easy for me to copy post from webpages and that was conflicting with the godaddy website.
Clear godaddy cache in your browser
This solution perhaps is the only one you need to get godaddy working again on your browser. All you have to do is go to settings on your computer and clear browser cache and cookies.
A little problem
With this solution i had a little problem, if i cleared my browser cache all the cache on my browser will be be deleted, the only solution is to delete godaddy specific browser cache.
To delete specific cache/cockies on your browser go to chrome://settings/siteData?search=content and search for godaddy using the search bar provided.
Update your web browser
Most modern web browser tend not to be compatible with modern websites, update your browser to the latest version
Uninstall and reinstall browser
This solution is recommended only when the two solutions mentioned above doesnt work. Uninstall your web browser, use tools like cc clearner to delete any residue and download a fresh copy of the browser then reinstall it
Conclusion
That will be all on how to fix godaddy automatically logging you out.
